Brief overview (incl. forum's downloading rules)

Postby Charger » 19 Jul 2009 13:13

Welcome to our technical library, dear english speaking guests.

Our forum is devoted to free sharing of ships technical documentation, manuals, datasheets, reference books, hand books etc.

At the moment we have collected about 59,50 Gbytes of usefull technical information (including some training video files)
Downloading rules of our forum are very simple:
You can download all files from all sections of our forum as a registered visitor except subforum Ships documentation and usefull literature, which is subject to following downloading rules:
As long as our visitors prefer only to download some docs from our library and neither to add something nor to take part in technical conversations we have modified downloading rules:
downloading is allowed only to members of the group "Downloaders", i.e. as soon as registered visitor sends 3 posts in any forum topics he is added to the members group "Downloaders" and all attachments links become visible to him. Hereyou can check list of current members of group "Downloaders".
If you are not "Downloaders" group member all files links from Ships documentation and usefull literature section are invisible to you.

!
Temporary automatic group modification is not functioning, please send me private message with request after posting of 3 messages.

Also you can contact directly moderator Lexus or me in order obtaining direct link to certain doc, but please pay attention, that sometimes we can not response quickly to your message due to sea related job features.

One convincing request to you:
Do not send spam messages over the board! Please kindly appreciate moderators free time, spent to forum development.
Of course, the best way is to start technical discussion referring marine troubleshooting topics, but if you don't have such thoughts - just write something interesting/curious/exciting that you have experienced in your life not long time ago in flame subforum.

We get plenty complaints referring 3 posts demmand: simular to "i do not know what to write about ..", "i don't wanna start stupid flame ", for those I can quote occasionally found thought:
"Most of people do not think, but just react to external factors of life .."
That's why please make youself to think a bit and start communication.

Don't loose your time, our library is continously spreading.

If you don't have anything to share with marine engineering community, just start communication and in 3 posts you'll get automatical access to our technical library.

VIP files thread rules translation:
Dear visitors,
Most interesting documentation (docs, training videos&courses .. ) will be uploaded to this forum thread.
All attachments archives will be encrypted with certain password (of course different in each case).
Password to chosen VIP file could be advised by forum administration in case of you:
1) posted 2 troubleshooting stories in subforum Live troubleshooting events
2) sent us here 5 links to our forum made somewhere in WWW (site, forum or guestbook) with short description/opinion about our forum. Spam is not recognised, please write at relevant theme web resources, like marine academies, e-libraries sites etc.
3) are active member of our marine engineering community

We have english docs all over the whole forum, that's why don't limit your search through only this section.

Ya bro!

well, that would depend on what your demand is... English-English or English Russian? however under any circumstances I bet that Lingvo-translator should be convenient.

there is a small indeed question about what you mentioned (as we all do know - learning language for two month is for nothing...): how the one got a contract as an either officer or engineer among English speaking crew without getting through English exam with ship's owner first?

For the person that asked about translators. try yahoo's babelfish and codesign's translator.
Hope that helps,
